Concerts for SARS-Cov2 virus disaster

京阪神を中心に活動する大阪モーツァルトアンサンブルの中で、滋賀県在住のメンバーを中心に結成された弦楽五重奏団。団体名の“M大津アート”、実は駄洒落好きのおじさん２人の合作なのです。クラシック音楽だけでなく、童謡、歌謡曲、映画音楽など幅広いレパートリーで、これまでに滋賀県、京都府、三重県、北海道、大阪府、福井県での病院、介護施設、レストランなどでの出前コンサートを積極的に行い、楽しんでいただいておりましたが、今般の新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響で実際に訪問して演奏することが困難な状況ですので、私たちの演奏を動画で収録したものを各施設で視聴していただけるよう、Web配信を始めました。生演奏をお届けできないのは残念ですが、素晴らしい音楽をお楽しみいただければ嬉しいです♪ 国立病院機構東近江総合医療センター 大西正人
母体となる大阪モーツァルトアンサンブルは、1984年の結成当初から指揮者を置かずに、最新の研究成果に基づいて編纂された新モーツァルト全集を使用し、交響曲、ピアノや管楽器他の協奏曲、オペラ、ミサ曲などに取り組んでいます。2004年11月27日第40回記念定期演奏会をびわ湖ホール大ホールで開催し、モーツァルトの交響曲全曲演奏を完結しました。近年は「戴冠式のモーツァルト」、「プラハのモーツァルト」等、演奏会ごとにテーマを設け、独自の切り口によるアプローチを展開し、2019年10月22日の創立35周年第70回定期演奏会では、父レーオポルト・モーツァルト生誕300年記念として、ミサ・ソレムニス、農民の結婚式を演奏しました。2020年1月26日、モーツァルト劇場との共催で東京・セシオン杉並大ホールにて高橋英郎訳詞による日本語版『コシ・ファン・トュッテ』を上演し好評を博しました。2020年10月24日の第72回定期演奏会では、新型コロナウイルス感染による犠牲者に捧げるため、モーツァルトの「レクイエム」（弦楽合奏版・武本浩編曲）を演奏しました。2021年2月28日第73回定期演奏会では、オーボエ協奏曲、リンツ交響曲などを演奏しました。2021年6月19日第73回定期演奏会では、ヴァイオリン協奏曲第3番（独奏：小谷泉）、交響曲2曲を演奏する予定です。

The string quintet was formed by the members who belong to the Osaka Mozart Ensemble, which is active mainly in the Kyoto-Osaka-Kobe area. The name of the group, "M-oz-art," is actually a joint work of two members who love puns. We have a wide repertoire of classical music as well as nursery rhymes, songs and film music. Although we have been actively holding a lot of concerts for people in many hospitals, nursing homes and restaurants in Shiga, Kyoto, Mie, Hokkaido, Osaka and Fukui prefectures, it has been difficult to visit and perform anywhere due to the novel coronavirus infection. Therefore, we have started webcasting the video recording of our performance. We are so happy that you will enjoy to watch and listen wonderful music.

The 3rd web concert (March 13, 2021)
In Japan, the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 has gained more momentum than it has been contained. Not only in Osaka, Hyogo and Kyoto Prefectures, where a state of emergency has been declared, but also here in Shiga Prefecture, where the number of people infected has increased and the SARS-CoV-2 specific ward at my hospital is now full. There is still a shortage of vaccine in Japan and the outbreak is not going to stop.
In March, when the infection was not so bad, we held a web concert with no audience, recorded on video, in order to provide some comfort in the midst of this COVID-19 disaster. This time we played a piano quartet with Fumiko Sonoda. Fumiko Sonoda studied at the same time as Taishin Kashimoto (solo violinist and concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra) at the Freiburg University of Music in Germany, and after returning to Japan she performed piano concertos with us (Osaka Mozart Ensemble) and is a pianist with great knowledge of Mozart. It is a pity that we will not be able to present you with a live performance. We hope that one day you will be able to hear us play again.
